Agreed w/ above. Everytime I see one of these (or a G-19) used & priced right I can't not buy it.
Great gun for the money.

I have had my model 60, for over 40 years now. My Dad bought mine for me, it is the one with the squirrel on the stock. I have know idea how many rounds have been shot through this gun, but it has been a bunch. I have never had any trouble out of mine. Marlin builds some nice rifles. Ray

Tell me about it. That stuff has no place in a cleaning kit.

Speaking of these guns, I'd like to have one that wasn't cleaned with WD-40.

I keep getting Model 60's as the "extra gun" when I make trades. I've had a dozen or so of them and they are always easy to get running. The worst issue I ever see with them is the older one with the set screw that holds the front sight on. I swear you could epoxy the screw in place and it will eventually back out.
