$150.00 Home Defense?

A big dog from the pound!!
Oh man, you haven't fed and cared for my 119 pound beast if ya think $150 will cover it! Thats just food for two months.

Nice shotgun btw, great idea, and way to resurrect an old maid.

I have a "Rabbiteared" 12 ga. by my bed. Can't beat it in the dark house. No slides to rack, always loaded, just ease the hammers back and she is ready to go.

Luke

No hammers on mine, just one of those stupid auto safeties that I disabled a while back.

A shotgun is about the only 150 dollar firearm I'd trust my life with. They are simple and they work

I would trust my life with an old polish p64 or an old Nagant revolver, both of those run under 150 usually. But a shotgun is WAY more versitile. It's the one do all gun if needed to be, defense to hunting bird to hunting big game all in one package. It has it's limitations but if I ever got down to just ONE Firearm period, you can bet your ass it would be a shotgun of some sort. Hell with a little canning wax or hell even kids crayons or wifes old candles, I can turn light bird shot into to a wax slug that will take down deer out to 50 or so yards...

This is my current wall hanger, started out a rusty barrel and dinged up and scratched wood.had the barrel cut to 18 12" and had thr stock cut to legal limit. Stil have to break out the high temp brake paint, then its ready to go.

Nice thing about a pump shotgun...it has the universal "GET OUT NOW" sound when you chamber the first round. Unmistakeable mechanical symphony of the bolt coming back and then chambering a round.

And your aim doesn't have to be perfect with buckshot...

All myths. Screw any warning. They don't hear the safety coming off.

Facepalm.

But at least you advocate the use of Buck over Bird so a big +1 on that.
