I suddenly have the random urge to find a 16 gauge for my all around gun. I would want it to have screw in chokes since it would be used for everything. I want to hear all opinions and opposes. I have done some looking, but I was wondering what gun makers are still producing the 16 gauge in case I have over looked one. I would prefer a pump or semi auto. What do yall think?

Ammo is a pain but one of my favorite upland bird guns is an old Ithaca 16 ga. model 37 feather weight. Birds could not get away fast enough with this gun and I had to pause before dropping hammer or make mush meat out of them.

I all so love a 16 . my first was a Stevens SXS . It had 26 in Barrels . I wore it slap out . it got to the point it would not fire some times . I've been searching for an other one for 20 years. Bass Pro stocks shells for 16s . I would love an nice Auto..

Thanks for the comments. I actually have two 16 gauge wingmasters, but I like to collect the wingmasters so I don't want to use them very much. I was hoping to buy a new one with interchangeable chokes. Does anybody know who still makes the 16 besides Browning? I know they have it in the BPS but that is all I have seen so far.
