16 round TX22 mags

Thought I would share this with you.

16 round TX22 mags are pretty much unobtanium at this point. I haven’t seen them in stock anywhere.

However.. 15 round mags are in stock on Taurus’ website all the time (so far)

The only difference is the floor plate detent/mag spring retainer. The 15 rounder has a white one and it has a “-1 round” nub that stops the follower. I cut this nub off and file it down to match the 16 rounder and GTG.

I've also found it useful to mod the front inside edge of the mag where the nose of the rounds "ride over." An oval jeweler's file at an angle to create sort of a slight "feed ramp" greatly reduces the tendency of rounds to 'stick' on that edge at the driving band.

I have been waiting for the tx competition slide to be back in stock. They are 199 on their we sight but sales out quickly
