The early models years ago had some issues. Anyone got one of the newer ones? Pretty darn good price...

Don't know if mine is considered new or old but I bought it new 4 years ago. I put CCI through it because I like CCI and have only had problems if I let it get really dirty. I use it regularly in bowling pin shoots with no problem. I paid $225 4 years ago new and thought I got a good deal then.

Most manufacturers have had model issues, often 1st generation, that's why I'm hesitant in purchasing a first gen anything.

I suspected a notable maker like Sig would have the issues corrected.

Many of these .22 LR replica's are made by another company licensed in cooperation. UMAREX, GSG etc. come to mind.

I have had one for awhile, it was picky about ammo at first but after a little polish on the feed ramp and a few hundred rounds of CCI high velocity it runs with all the ammo I have tried

I had one for a while. It fed reliably and wasn't all that bad of a pistol.
The fit and finish feels pretty cheap, the trigger is pretty crappy, and it's not that accurate. For not a whole lot more, the GSG 1911-22 is still cheap, but has a much nicer trigger and is less picky with ammo. I'd save up and get something a little nicer, even though 175 is a great price.

I have two, one with the threaded barrel, one with a pink frame for my oldest daughter. We love them, and regularly put 300 plus rounds through each of them on range days. We've not experienced a problem, of course we only run CCI mini-mag in them. I stock up on it whenever I see it, but usually have a few thousand in reserve.

The Mosquto was manufactured by GSG. Sig discontinued the model a couple years ago, but the same gun is still being sold as the Firefly by GSG.
