I agree. If you do purchase one, give us a range report and review of the pistol. It looks like it could be a winner and I am all for competition in the 1911 production world. Drives quality, selection up and keeps prices affordable.
What's wrong with a ramped 45acp 1911?
This is true but the increased reliability issues is more the issue for me.a part of the casing remains unsupported during firing....should not matter in .45acp IMO

The ramped barrel is a killer for me. Not to mention the fact that Para hasn't been known for building quality 1911's in the past. That being said, I have seen several positive reviews of the newer Para 1911's that seem promising. I think right now I would hold off for a little while until they have been out a while to see if any issues arise. There are several other options in that price range that are proven and have been around a while...Honestly though, at that price range I would just save a couple hundred more dollars and buy a Dan Wesson.

The Valor is $1,500 and up. The ECO and CCO are in the $1,300 range but I already have a CCO 1911. Never been a fan of the Heritage. If you're going to go DW, go big.![]()
I currently have an ECO, and have had a VBOB, CBOB and Guardian and I can honestly say that they are worth every penny. I'd rather just shell out the extra coin to get the DW than to save a couple hundred bucks and get a 1911 that I'm not going to be satisfied with. But, that's JMHO...YMMV.
