I have a Sti Spartan and a rock island commander size ( factory cerokoated tan ) and purchased a lt weight Ruger commander last week. Shot 100 rounds today. Had two failures to feed out of the Ruger. But I did run it straight out of the box with no oil. I was also grouping three inches to the left at 10 yards.. Adjusted the rear sight and now it is grouping pretty good. The sti and rock river slides are very smooth and cycles easily. The Ruger should get better but right now it is very rough feeling

Odd for the Ruger. I had one and my buddy does aswell with no issues. I am by no means an expert though. Maybe we just got lucky

I do not have experience with Ruger 1911's but I do with rock Islands and for the money they are extremely reliable.
