1911 question

Not a thing wrong with a GI model.

No need to puke a bunch of aftermarket parts all over it.

Millions of them served their purpose just fine as delivered.

I know nothing about GI or RIA and I am not a 1911 owner. That said, I do believe- when it comes to firearms- you do get what you pay for most times. Cheaper guns are generally harder to shoot, hurt your hands and not as fun to shoot. Personally, I have never regretted saving another buck or two in order to buy a model up or two. I find that I enjoy them a little more when the trigger pull is nicer and I am more accurate for example. Save a few more dollars. I bet you'll be glad you did.

RIA is crap....sorry, had to be said.
Springfield Armory, Ruger and Kimber are much better choices. Or buy the $400 POS and wonder why it wont run....

Have to disagree with this. My RIA is a solid gun and never had an issue with it. All 3 Kimbers I owned were junk right out of the box, none of the 3 were ever reliable regardless of ammo, round count, or brand of magazines used.
