I have four and my collection wouldn't be complete without my Springy. They just shoot well and the triggers are great right off the shelf. Best bang for the buck.

But it's got a "full tactical rail", so it's worth more.
I know nothing about GI or RIA and I am not a 1911 owner. That said, I do believe- when it comes to firearms- you do get what you pay for most times. Cheaper guns are generally harder to shoot, hurt your hands and not as fun to shoot. Personally, I have never regretted saving another buck or two in order to buy a model up or two. I find that I enjoy them a little more when the trigger pull is nicer and I am more accurate for example. Save a few more dollars. I bet you'll be glad you did.
How many non-working Kimbers have you owned?? Asking for a friend....
Could pay double for a beautiful Kimber that doesn’t work.

Have to disagree with this. My RIA is a solid gun and never had an issue with it. All 3 Kimbers I owned were junk right out of the box, none of the 3 were ever reliable regardless of ammo, round count, or brand of magazines used.
