Just got this 1966 AMC Rambler Classic 770 Convertible and spent all weekend gettingbit to run and drive. I have a few questions about it. She is running and driving now.

1. Does anyone know what clips to use to get all the chrome back on and where to get them?
2. Are non power drum brakes always this bad or due the get any better with a ton of dialing in?
3. Any other Ramblers out in the ODT world?

The molding clips should be available. Start at a big NAPA store, they will have a display of many different styles. If no luck, there are classic car resto sites that will have them.

Get the rust off your drums and properly adjust your shoes. The braking should be more than adequate.....unless you drive through water.

The first car I remember riding in was a hard top, two tone (black and white) Nash Rambler! We were poor and we only had the Rambler. The heater didn't work and during the winter my Momma would fill up a big glass pickle jar with hot water and my sister and I would take turns hugging it to keep from freezing in the back seat while my Daddy and Momma just toughed it out up front. Great memories for sure!

I got nothing else to add.......Beautiful Car OP!

For non power drums, you just about have to stand on them. Especially if you have a big block. Power drums are bad enough. So you could throw a booster on it or a disc brake conversion. Or keep it stock and beef up your quads.
