My first turkey came off Dawson forest, I was with my dad. If I remember right I was 12, we chased that bird from the very front of the goshen entrance all the way to the property line in the back. I’ve never been more proud of anything. Lol

I remember taking my Son out Turkey hunting for the first time at ClyBel. At that time he was 4 and I had roosted one the night before..We went in and set up in the hardwoods about 50 yards away and it was totally dark..When daylight broke I did a fly down call and he answered hot and heavy..My Son and I had a plan set up where he could hand signal me..Well in the middle of the Tom coming in he saw a fox also coming in..I did not understand his signals, as we had not discussed that happening...Well he hollered that a fox was over on our right....Welp Turkey left and Fox left and we went and had breakfast..Fond memories in the field without a harvest...Spend time with you kids!!!!
Me too, I wasn’t even thinking about it at all until today. Lol good thing duck season last until the 31st though.Man... now I’m all fired up for turkey season and I’ve gotta wait 2 months for it
Lol I won’t even get to go duck hunting this season.. work has been to hectic.
