Q: Are all of this specific model rifle built identically? (For instance, front sight placement isn't a "manufacturer mistake")

Actually, this would be considered a "hint" but I'll give a somewhat vague answer anyways.

A: The sight placement on this particular firearm is NOT a mistake. The sight piece itself is not unique to this gun, and can be found on other firearms from the same manufacturer.
