It was the Marine Corps that comissioned Kawasaki to make a Diesel version. This is a gasoline engine. A Ranger bud and myself took a bone stock 2008 KLR, pulled off the body plastic that was that ugly silver, black and lime-green and did the work on it that you see here. Then added standard pannier racks for the KLR and put the ammo cans on. Added the heated grips and this is the loveliness that we have here.

Nothing like camping at a 'Wayside Park' in plain sight so-to-speak. Works wonders. I hate campgrounds.
