2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee overheated and cannot find the problem

bleed hole on the thermostat has to be at the top.

Bought an overheating '08 grand cherokee. Resetting the thermostat solved it.

One other observation about this Jeep Grand Cherokee, the thermostat housing is plastic. Why the hell make it from plastic? What did Chrysler save $1 instead of making it from steel.

3.6 engine?

Replace the thermostat and get ALL of the air out of it.
Those are a pain to bleed if you don’t have a vacuum fill tool.
