Yes we have a hired trapper that will trap last 2 weeks of season for the furbearers.he will catch a few coons but had rather target fox,bobcat and the yotes

Do you pay by the animals he traps?

We pay a daily fee and he gets animals which he sells to pens I’m sure.

I have 2 cage traps and Saturday I made a Corral Trap
a deer went in one trap and was released unharmed

This thread got me interested in trapping a few coons and other varmints. So I bought 10 dog proof coon traps Saturday at the hardware store and set them yesterday. Caught 3 coons last night. Today I placed a order at Fleming for a dozen coyote traps, bait, scents, hammer tool, sifter and other trap related stuff that they thought I needed. If I catch a coyote or bobcat I'm going to get a few dozen more traps and really get after them. I've watched a bunch of videos and none of the trappers take human scent control nearly as serious as I plan to.

Man it's straight chaos when you get about 10 pigs in the trap and the first round goes off! They don't stand still waiting for you to pop em! Gets kinda messy sometimes. If a sow gets in it with little ones that can squeeze through the holes, shoot them first, cause they can get away and are now educated

Good for you. I find it really helps with turkeys. I’ve gotten to where I enjoy trapping as much as hunting.
