I would have needed more than 2 beers to set that trap

Good for you. I find it really helps with turkeys. I’ve gotten to where I enjoy trapping as much as hunting.
I have asked for and tried to get a trapping forum. Maybe if more get involved and trap there will be more interest in both trapping and a forum for it.

Please do not forget to get your trappers license and join the Georgia Trepper's Association.

Anyone have any videos or sources for better hide tanning? I can’t seem to keep them soft. They get very rigid. Not good for making caps etc.

Have you tried brain tanning?

The old timers used to say, "God gave every animal just enough brains to tan its own hide."
I'm pretty sure there was a duality there...lol
