Probably a dumb question, but do you set traps near your deer feeders? Will the traps scare the deer, especially after a coon is caught?
I don’t know that it scares them they just very cautious while it’s there, normally after 3-4 nights you done caught or educated the ones there and move to another feeder.here is a doe & fawn this a.m. the dog proof is between cam and deer and cage left side of deer.I’m sure if a coon is in trap they will not come.

Kind of what I have seen. Been using live traps in front of camera/feeder. Deer have been cautious, but eventually didn't seem to care. I just ordered some Duke's traps, and am going to be more aggressive on varmint removal. This is my first experience with this type of trap, so I have been watching this thread closely. Any advice is appreciated.

On the dukes I made some stakes out of rebar just set them away from anything that he can use for leverage and pull out of trap like trees.
