Howl hats off to you if you use sub gauges,I hunted turkeys way before all the fancy decoys, chokes, patterning and ammo, when you had to get them within 20-25 yards to keep from wounding them.basically a bird gun with a full choke, and high brass 5 or 6 shot.they were only a handful of consistent hunters back then.i had the privilege to hunt with jack Scott when he was a ranger thru a mutual friend that was a ranger at cedar creek.i have never meet anyone that was more dedicated and devoted to the wild Turkey as Mr.Scott.

mfoster mfoster I spent several seasons with Jack Scott hunting deer, and turkey and have several of his boxes. He would hoot and scare the crap out of you if you doze off. No telling how many turkeys he harvested. His wife, Shirley killed a 3 bearded turkey and was a pretty good deer and hog hunter. He would hunt deer sitting on a one legged stool propped up against a tree. He was a good man and one of a kind. Picture taken in 2009

Current tech makes a 20ga better than 12ga were just ten years ago. My .410 throws better patterns than my 12gas did over most of my turkey hunting career. It's just a narrower pattern is all. That's the point of these sub-gauge threads. Post up a 20ga pic!
