Looking to jump into my first can now that the SBR newness has worn off. So who's got the best deal on a good .22 can for a 10/22? I'm not looking to go cheap at the expense of quality but I don't want to spend a ton of money on a .22 can either. I'd guess non-serviceable ones are cheapest but I'd like to be able to service it if possible.

So basically, just educate me on the stock of .22 cans offerings.

I a have Sparrow. When I was research cans it was always at the top. Has a little FRP but its very quiet, small and looks good. Expensive though, I paid $400 for mine. That said I was also looking at the Gemtech Outback IID, Warlock and the Spectre II. you definitely want a user serviceable 22 can as it gets very dirty. Another good point for the Sparrow is the only it breaks down. The monocore is inside of a clam shell so the chances of it getting "welded" with lead is very low.

All .22 cans should be user serviceable. After about 400 rounds, mine is a bitch to take apart.

A have a HTA with stainless baffles that I'm happy with. I haven't heard it next to many other cans, but to my ear it was as quiet as the rest of them. It was less than $150. I'm sure there are many reasons to spend more, but quiet isn't one of them.

I saw a video on Griffin armament. It was a .22 can with a qd mount. That would be pretty cool and make it easy to switch hosts, don't know how much it is though, good luck.
