Even if he finds someone to sell to him, would he not be in violation if his intentions were to take said firearm home to diff state?

Why would that be a violation? If I buy a gun while residing in Georgia, even though I plan to move to Alabama next week, have I violated any laws?

I was just asking for clarification on buying a firearm in one state with intentions on taking it to another state. I wasnt sure if it was legal or not.
