My primary deer rifle has been .308 for as long as I have been hunting. I want to switch to .270 and I am looking for advise on what brands I should consider. I am looking to spend around $500. Any advise?

I have a 770 in .308 - same with it. I am selling it to buy the .270. Again, the .308 shoots great. I just want a .270 so that my son and I have the same caliber.

One of my favorite rifles is a Rem 700 Sendero in .270 WIN. I'd look for a gently used Rem 700 medium contour barrel in .270 WIN if you aren't in a hurry.

A teriffic flat shooting gun, absolutely the SENDRO, 700 model 270, the heavy barrel is one of the best...

I have a Remington 700 ADL plastic stock, key lock bolt - WalMart special I bought off of Robinsyardsales.com when I lived in GA. Paid $250 for it and put a 4X Leupold M8 ($100) on it. Shoots great.

I've hunted with a Browning in .270 for 29 years and I will endorse them...If not Browning, I would be looking at the Winchester model 70.
