If you plan on shooting the state match next week there's a good chance this new gotcha could burn you with a penalty. Remembering IDPA is just a game. Vision barriers are no longer considered to be cover when leaving a position. I perform two styles of reloads before leaving. If you're not confident in these 2 types of retention reloads you might want to simply run dry and reload. If you do run dry in the open there is no penalty for fixing the gun and finishing your open targets. Or you can skip the rulebook and learn the sport 3 seconds at a time.
