I did find this:

"In the early 1990s, Hornady began to produce small quantities of its own cartridge cases, and in-house production of their cartridges made up a small fraction of what was being loaded into ammo every year. At the time, all locally produced cartridge cases bore the “HORNADY” headstamp,..."

Ergo, if the case headstamp is not Hornady they may be 30+ years old...?

Pretty sure those are not reloads, but first run ammo.

Got some of that with my second carbine back in 2010 or so. Rifle came with 100 or so rounds of it. Wasted it all on targets.

A friend of mine had a Iver Johnson(?) 30 carbine pistol. Many years ago. That thing was a riot to shoot.
