300 aac

The ballistics are interesting but close to the 5.56/45 not enough of a difference to warrant the cost of the ammo in the supersonic range. The sub-sonic load listed isn't bad. But, you could do the same thing with a silenced ar with a 9 mm upper. the biggest benifit from the platform is the ability to use both sub and super-sonic ammo and not have to reconfigure your platform and it will still function properly in both configurations.

So pretty damn good idea. Midway already has the brass. http://www.midwayusa.com/browse/BrowseProducts.aspx?pageNum=1&tabId=1&categoryId=21161&categoryString=9315***652***670***9013***

and 220 grain .308 has always been common. I like it. I may get one .

I load it. I did a thread about converting 223 brass to 300 blk. Pretty easy. I have loaded 220gr. 178gr 144 tracers. All of them worked great and better accuracy than factory.

For the price of a barrel it's a pretty cool caliber. Super quiet.

what's the lightest bullet you can shoot and still have it run pretty well subsonic? I know i've seen plenty of 220's just wondering if 200's will still stay reliably subsonic? or even lighter and still work the action?
