I'm searching for a bullet that would expand at the 300 blackout speeds. I'm going to say 1800-2200fps depending on your barrel. I'm using 125gr Nosler Ballistic Tips but I haven't had a chance to harvest with it. What bullets do you trust for your 300 blackout supersonic loads? Anything more cost-effective than the BT?

Hornady #3010; it's a 110gr soft nose varmint bullet. Can't recall the exact chrono results from my loadings, but it was in the neighborhood of 2300fps. I took a large doe with it last November. The shot was perhaps 50 yards. She went down quickly, but no exit wound. I went with it based on reading a lot of suggestions from others.

The Barnes are quite expensive. Have you guys retrieved any? I looked into the 125gr Sierra Pro hunter but they don't seem to expand well at 300blk velocities.

Hornady 125SST
killed several deer for me and my boys and a couple hogs/coyotes
I prefer it over the 125BT for more reliable expansion - keep the distance reasonable 100 -125 and the bullet will do its job if put in the boiler room
