300 blackout to .556

Hey everyone. I might be coming into a 300 blackout soon but due to the ammo being sky high. I'd like to convert it to .556
I've read to convert a .556 to 300 blackout is as simple as a barrel change. Is that true for 300 blackout to .556 or should I get a complete .556 upper? Thanks for any insight!

Definitely for subs, but you can find supers for cheaper easily

300blk suppressed is ninja-like
yes ammo is slightly more than cheap 556 but not sky high

i have seen American eagle 147gr supers for $13/20.
subs cost more usually $20/20

question is if you dont want 300blk then why get it in the first place?

I'm getting it in a trade and it's a sweet rifle, I wouldn't mind having the 300 blk, just wanted to know how easily it is to switch from one to the other because going to the range to shoot 300 blk instead of .556 sounds a tad on the expensive side lol

if you like the idea of having 300blk or at least giving it a try, maybe you keep the upper and get a 556 upper.
