$300 Boots for $40 on LAPolicegear.com

LApolicegear.com has Bates USMC RAT Boots normally $300 on closeout for 39.99 plus shipping ($15.01) so total delivered is $55. I don't know anything about these particular boots but Bates makes pretty good stuff that's pricey plus they are made in the USA instead of red china. From what little I found out about these is it sounded like Bates lost out on a contract with the Marines so they have plenty of these left over to get rid of. I figure at that price you can't go wrong. They look pretty decent in the picture on the website.I just ordered a pair.

I believe this is the reason for the price.
But that is not to say that the price isnt great and that it isnt a steal.

I think it would take me 5 yrs to put as much wear on them as a Marine does in a month of deployment It they last them 3 months then $35 is pretty good!
