It would appear that ISIS has taken roughly 90% control of a city that is within 5 miles of an airbase at which 300 USMC are stationed. The airbase was hit early this morning by eight suicide bombers all of which were killed "almost immediately" by local forces.

I'm not saying that it isn't bad news...but let's not paint the picture that ISIS has surrounded 300 of our guys in a kill box.

That has happened more than once the last 12 months and Commanders on the ground dealt with it. This post sounds more in line with the reality I am familiar with. There are Marine Battalion Landing Teams off shore wating for this stuff with chomping jaws and SEAL assests as well as tier one guys that would help out.

ISIS ground troops have no comparision to these guys, the only thing they have is IDF and tanks, vehicles with large guns etc.

Thanks for putting stuff in context. Im not finding much info out there as of yet. I'm sure they will have CAS at least. If they don't already.
