its a combined air wing, ground support . they would be supported by the air wing and gound support... we held back more on the canal with a machine gun crew...these would be battle tested troops...
Wow I was in al asad... seeing army, navy and air force have huge hanger like living quarters with air condition and having a 10 ft radius from each other. While my entire battalion cramed in makeshift tents packed in like sardines rack next to rack lol good times. Naw shouldnt worry, my entire company was responsible for the protection of haditha, iraq we had little over 500 Marine company strength (thats huge) for infantry company. What messes up everything are ROE (rules of engagement) if you tell the Marines to win a battle and push them back they will period. Playing a defensive stance.... that's a army thing, Marine squad strength is small compared to an army squad. If IS attacks from all sides at once and no air support it will be a Alamo. Hopefully they are Marine combat veterans (most are) they will fight to the end. I rather fall fighting than be at the mercy of terrorists.

You are missing the point completely, the issue is 300 trapped marines not your take on fox. BTW your apparent favorite cnn reported it as well, now what are you going to do?
