wow... lovely ruined meat, blood shot backstrap. Not to mention I can only assume some gut was ripped open in that.
There is a reason I use a .308 and place my shots where they will kill quickly while doing minimal damage to the surrounding meat.
I guess if that makes your friend happy, but that is such a waste.

^^ i mean... no doubt it is awesome to see what different cartridges do, but I hunt for food. When I see all that wasted meat and most likely some contamination from gut, it makes me sad.

Yeah there is no point of shooting a deer with that caliber, and that deer barely had any meat on it to start with.
