God I love reloading. Went through the same thing with my son from first marriage when he came to live with me. .270 loaded light was THE answer. Of course there were no "Light Recoil" loads then. but 37grs h414 behind a 130gr rem sp yielded about 2500fps at the muzzle and three deer out to 100yds with Very Little Recoil. That same son told me while watching "Swamp People" this year (he's 13) "look, Dad...They Blink when they Shoot!!!!"
