When I went through in 87' a full auto m60 went missing. Did a shoulder to shoulder search of the entire post. Back then it was an open post and stuff happened all the time.

Yes, Fort Benning was the old name.
I have no idea why the name "Benning" is offensive.

What about this State in the United States called "Georgia" named after a British king? We should change the name of the state because we don't want Kings, and England's King George was our enemy.

I propose we rename the state to
Ka'wanda. (I don't think that made up word has any meaning, but it "sounds" multiracial and culturally inclusive, and has no overtones of colonialism or white supremacy.)
