It's a cool looking cartridge and the fireball makes me smile?
At the MAG-40 I took years back, Massad Ayoob said that he felt the 357 SIG was similar to the 357 Magnum in 'one shot stops', but he couldn't pin down why that was. The idea about the huge muzzle flash on the 357 Magnum (and SIG) being part of a psychological factor does makes some sense here though. Unlike the 357 Mag in a shorter (<6") barrel, it does get a good bump over 9mm for ft/lbs though.
I have a old G22 with a LWD barrel I use for GSSF shoots in 357 SIG, just because it's a fun caliber to shoot and it's very flat at those distances.
