365 hp......

I don't know, I think Nissan is still in the sports car market. My 2017 Nissan for instance is very zippy around town. I've yet to have any issues merging onto the highway, regardless if it's an uphill on-ramp.

hard to find a nice sedan (with an actual back seat) that's sporty and fun to drive. My wife was in the market recently for a new convertible. Had zero interest in mustang or camaro (interiors, noise, style), but wanted a nice back seat, convertible, good motor, rear wheel drive, and decently sporty. ruled out a lot of cars because of missing some elements. She had in the past an S2000 (before we had kids), TL type S (hated the automatic even with paddles), E46 M3 (had issues with motor, so no more BMW's). finally found a nice CPO mercedes E550 convertible in texas. twin turbo V8, nice sounds, good handling, monster motor, and interior that's top notch. warranty thru 2021 unlimited mileage. I'm shocked with the motor. they say 400hp and 500 lb/ft torque (at 1600rpm), but that's pretty low rating per my seat of the pants impression. I'm used to motorcycles, but this thing has some stomp. fun to drive. I'd love to have the wagon version some day (E400 wagon or the E63 AMG wagon if I win the lottery some day!).

Will have to see what Mazda comes out with this year for the diesels. I have had TDI's in the past and was waiting for a sweet deal on a Q7 TDI or something like that, but no luck so far. Maybe next year I'll replace my vehicle.

I like the Infiniti Q50. We had a 2014 with the 3.7L V6 and it was pretty quick.

My next car will be a 2011 M3

Great Choice! It's a bargin for the quality and enjoyment. The sounds these 4.0 V8's spinning to 8300+rpm make are second to none. Certainly the best sounding car I've ever owned.

Mine was a stock 2012 white on bamboo beige 6mt when I bought it. After a month of owning it, it had a full Akrapovic non-catted titanium Evo exhaust. Then air filters, pulley, KW3 coilovers and a custom tune with an 8600rpm rev limit. I miss that car for the sounds alone. Stunning fit and finish, that rivals my 6figure Nissan. I ended up selling it to buy a pair of M16s, but had those particular M16's not been on the market, I'd still have that E92 M3 in my stable.

Once again, great choice Sir.

Yea I think I remember seeing your M3 when we did a deal once. Did you ever consider the DCT over the 6MT? I've been driving a stick since 2002 but I hear the DCT is a great trans and my wife could drive it as well but I'm still leaning towards the 6MT.

I love the manual, but its a pretty close choice to BMW's DCT. My friends black M3 in that picture was a DCT. Off the line he was faster, but from a roll I was faster. The DCT is silly fast shifting. Literally twice as fast in milliseconds than the dual clutch in my GTR, which is also one of the fastest shifting cars. The best thing about the DCT in my opinion is the down shift exhaust burps the DCT does to that V8. No way to replicate it in a manual. I was envious of the sounds my buddies DCT M3 was making while we were on the Dragon. You cant go wrong with either. With your wife in the loop, I'd definitely go DCT.

ehh hp is one thing... pedigree is another. I drive a bmw and I guarantee it would out handle the kia on the rd or a track.( not as fast) but still. HP doesn't equal driving experience. there are Audis/bimmers/etc that are much faster than that.. the current M series for instance has well over 400 hp and ftlb
