38 special snake shot

Hey gang, haven't been on in a while but site still as great as always. My mobility status has changed to full time wheelchair, and I carry a lightweight S&W 38 Chief. Most of my time is out in the yard and encountered several snakes, and one mean dog. I have and grew up 22 snake/rat shot and have a 22 with a box of shot but its really too heavy to carry around in chair vs the little 38. I can't find 38 shot shells anywhere. Any ideas or pointers? Yes I might consider a little 22 pistol just for backyard/garden. And yes I also have two hot regular loads in my 38 incase that mean dog does get the hint, haha, thats my concern with the 22. Saw some at both Georgia Gun Store in Gainesville and Dawsonville Gun and Pawn recently. First time I've seen it in a long time.

Thank you, I bought the 22 shot shells there in Gainesville, nice folks. I'll give them a call, wish I'd remembered that!

Either one / Cherokee Gun & Pawn or Forsyth Gun & Pawn has them. gl

I load 38 shot shells. I use Speer shot capsules and duplicate the CCI load.
