The first AK I ever bought back in 2008 cost me $250 at a moving sale. A standard WASR. At the time I think new they were in the $400-450 range. Inflation happens and all of that, but with the saturation on the market, $250-300 might be doable. Depending on how sales go, I think we might see some $250 AR's this upcoming Black Friday if retailers still have excess surplus on hand due to election panic preparation.

With Trump in the White House and Republicans controlling Congress, nobody is afraid of jack so there's no motivation to go out and buy a scary black gun unless you just want one, and I'd bet most of us here have at least one or two of the things.
