4/1 Turkey hunt

So I figured, what better day to start my turkey season than April Fool's Day. Why not get out-smarted by the smartest/dumbest bird on the planet.

Either way it plays out...It's a beautiful coastal GA morning and I'll get some reading done for my college class.

This should get interesting. Hogs on the field and gobblers tearing it up in the pines behind me...Pork and turkey samich

Smoked a couple of cigarettes til the hogs winded me and left. Then the National Guard started firing off artillery a couple of miles out(still loud). Holding my spot for an all day hunt. There are turkey droppings all over this field and the wind has picked up. They will be coming out of the swamp for sure.

I shot a nice bird on this field 2 years ago at 1:30pm...Patience.

I'm jealous. I'm pulling the turbo out of my F250 to replace seals and bearing. Wish I was in the woods but at least I'm outside. Good luck man.

Good luck. Working today, but I'll be set up on a well used food plot with my bow tomorrow evening.

Old age got the better of me and at 1:45 I had to call it quits. Plenty of gobblers calling this morning. Just didn't work out, will be hunting again soon.
