And yes. The CMPs current stance is that "low numbered" SA and RIA '03 can be dangerous and should not be shot.

I have decided to accept that risk every now and then after looking at the facts and statistics about the failures. That is my own decision, some people may feel like chancing it, some don't.

Nothing like a 1903.....1903!

Hey guys,

Scored this on GunBroker a few days ago. Ironically, I was the only person who bid. Bolt is correct. Finish is original. Barrel is a Avis 1919 replacement. All and all, I'm happy with it.

Who else has very early Garand/'03s?
