Yeah pretty wild. It is amazing how many rounds a bear will take before a stoppage. And by bear standards, it makes one consider a bigger gun where grizzlies reside. A 400# black bear is a small animal in comparison. This man is lucky to be alive.

Bridger found bear hair between the guide rod and the slide of the G20 pistol. The hair prevented the slide from returning into battery. Bridger knew he should still have ammunition left in the magazine, so he racked the slideand saw a live round eject in slow motion.

That ain’t going to happen with a revolver. You aren’t going to have as many chances with a revolver either.

Dumb story.

Synopsis:

Dude gets all jacked up to go chase down a f—ing bear for a cellphone video.
Grabs a handgun from truck after chasing down bear.
Approaches bear for video which then gets pissed and charges him.
Gets mauled to s— by bear.
Unloads handgun into bear to save his life.
Has dead bear head clamped onto bleeding leg for a long time.
Has brother-in-law saw dead bear's head off with a pocket knife to release from leg.
Ends up with massive wounds, stitches and long-term rehab.

Lessons:

Don't be a dumb moron like this guy.
