444 marlin

Alright guys I just got a beautiful marlin 444p, gotta start pressing out some rounds for her, I'm using the 265 grain leverevolution bullets, but anybody with any suggestions on what powder and what weight?? I know it's not a bench rest gun but hey.

I appreciate yalls time and responses

I haven't loaded for a .444 in at least 20 years, but it seems like I used H4895.

The ole 4895 doesn't meter as well as many of today's more modern powders, but it's one of the most versatile I've used over the years.

i agree been 20 years for me to .i used 4895 and 240 grain flat point great load

I use IMR 4064 with a 240 gr. SJHP, that's just me and I don't push them hard.
Can't affford to, I'm hangin' on the back!

This could be the holy grail of thread revivals. Ended up loading speer 270’s.

Haha your not kidding. Went with Hornady 300 grain xtp’s. Next will be the speer 270’s once I run out.
