.458 Socom... advice and results

Hi, Im fairly new to reloading and only been doing 223. Been reading up on .458 Socom and seems one of my books has nothing on it and one only has limited load data. Anyone here reloading .458 easily with reliable results ? Powders, projectiles, load data ?? Any info appreciated.

any up date on some loads?? Im starting on some 325 Hornady 325 Ftx rounds..any one had any luck?

I'm doing 300 grain Hornady hps with 4 powders so far. No problems.
I'll dig up my load info and post.

I used the Berry’s 45-70 profile bullets and found out that you have to seat OAL really short with em... They now have a Socom profile, that I wanna try next time.

LiLgun is the best over all powder I've found I load 405 gr coated and Hornady 325 gr FTX. loading Hornady 500 gr DGS right now working on a high vel load now

have you chronograph the 325 ftx with Lilgun? what FPS were you getting?? what primers were you using?

There was Troy blue with the initial round of 458 ammo available. Some shot fine but some would stick in chamber. Don’t remember why but you may want to check your loads carefully before you run them live.
