I have a swage kit from C4D. I cannot recommend it.

I use the case mouth de-burring tool to cut just the crimp away. It works pretty well.

I know that you reload a LOT. So, your opinion is solicited ... What is it that makes it "Not Recommended"?

The tool relies on the strength of the case rim being stronger than the force required punch through the crimp.

You really need something to go inside the case to push down as the swagger pushes up.

The C4D tool will work--just not as well as the two kits offered by RCBS or as the Dillon Swagger.

All of the above would suit you well. Just stay away from the Lyman primer pocket tools. IMO they are the worst possible.

Just an update. I purchased this rcbs swager die. Loaded about 30 rounds the other night and it seemed to work very well. A little slow, but I just don't load enough to justify $130 for the dillion.

This is what i use in my drill. i can knock them out super fast. No way a swager is faster than this. Barely removes any material.

Works great, I totally agree, but mine is on an RCBS trim mate and it just takes a second.
