i want a 6.5 in my collection but I am not going to put a lot of money in one. I am considering the following and asking for personal experience from owners.
Ruger American predator - threaded, adjustable trigger, medium weight barrel. 389 out the door
TC Compass- threaded adjustable trigger, 200 plus taxes after rebate. I held one of these today, the forearm near the barrel would move all over the place just by using finger pressure. I have never owned anything by TC.
Savage lt weight Hunter - adjustable trigger, stainless prices from 550 to 600.

I want to try one at some point. A lot of people like them over the .308 ballistics. I'm up to my elbows in .308 rifles.

I about bought a browning 6.5 x bolt very light weight and it's only 500$ that's the one I would get but savage makes a darn good shooting and reliable gun as well. Had many of em.

I have a close friend that I use to work with swears by the 6.5. He was using this round a few years ago when they first started producing factory ammo. I have a browning 30-06 and a 30-30 just wanted something different. I was originally going to buy a 243 but for just a little more recoil I think the 6.5 would be the way to go.
