6-notch barrel nut, can't remove, any advice?

Hello, I took off the hand guard of one of my AR15's and saw the barrel nut (please see picture). I have never seen this type of nut before. The hand guard is a Samson SXS ML-15. I called Samson but - surprise, surprise - they are not answering phone calls and have a wait time of 1-2 weeks on emails. The hand guard is also discontinued.

I was wondering if any of you had any experience in dealing with this 6 notch barrel nut. I have tried a few things (all tools on my armorer's wrench and more) but it will not even move.

Pretty sure I have a wrench to fit that. An MI wrench should fit. If it won’t, I can modify one to fit.

Looks a lot like one of the barrel nuts that SIG uses. I took an MI barrel nut wrench, and ground off the the center of 3 prongs.......the other 2 bit right in and it worked like a champ.

Yes, that might work. I already have one in my shop that’s modified.

UPDATE: I was able to reach Samson MfG Customer Service on the phone. They without hesitation or me asking offered to send me the wrench for free, it was shipped the same day and is on its way. Great customer service from my view!
