I read a review the other day for an AR in 7.62 x 39, and I would like to get some of your opinions on something that was mentioned. Basically, the guy said that he was having some feed issues. He claimed the issue was due to the M4 feed ramps in the upper. He took a dremel and cut down the little divider on the m4 feed ramp and made the feed ramp smooth, and claimed this solved his feed issue. Is there any truth to this?

This is a common issue. They make better magazines now, and yes it helps to massage the feed ramps and magazines.

Just one of the issues when you Frankenstein an Ar to digest ak rounds. 30 caliber rounds are wicked at close range out of a pistol. Ak rounds are also cheaper. It is the process of tuning it and making it reliable that makes it interesting. You learn stuff and understand your weapon better.

Want one that runs straight out of the box? Buy one all put together.

Want to know what makes it tick? Put one together yourself! You will be able to fix it yourself.
