8 per day. 2,920 per year killed.

Even if the statistic is true, it tells me there are too many teens and kids that don’t know how to handle a firearm properly. Loaded guns sat all over my house growing up (no one had a safe) and not a single person I knew got shot or even had a negligent discharge.

I been thinking I should corral the young people with too much time on their hands, ban the "cell phones" and the earplugs, take them to the range Wednesday night and Saturday night for rifle team (airgun / 22LR only) and most importantly give them all a Bible. They are not born bad. They just have no father figures. Just craving our attention and DISCIPLINE! Public schools punted on all this years ago. All the Public schools teach is socialism. I am damn tired of paying Gwinnett County taxes for this stupidity and perversion.

I'm sorry for your loss, but speaking of proper storage of firearms do you know anyone whose children do not have access to their safe? The boy who killed your brother is responsible, not the weapon, regardless of how
he acquired it. Try to place blame where it belongs, on the perpetrator, not the circumstance.

Actually I am placing the blame squarely on where it belonged had the gun not been easily accesible he would be alive.I have had guns all my life ,my kids are long gone, when they were here, neither them, nor their mother had access to my guns and still don't.Your theory is kinda like saying you won't get poison ivy if you just wear shoes but then get it from the laces,The poison ivy was still there,so was the gun.Without the gun my bro would still be here, that just a fact if you cannot understand that I know why this mentality that they are just a common thing to have around because of the constant barrage of certain media hype that augments it is literally brainwashing many in this country

I'm not anti gun or liberal.I prefer to think more centrally and have common sense about things.Something I noticed started disappearing in pretty much evryone born after the 70's

I’ve seen a car mow down a group of people too.

I think people who only experience Murder in a country that allows its citizens to own private weapons, don’t realize that there are plenty of other ways to kill people that take place all across the globe.

The ease of operation a gun provides doesn’t make someone a killer any more or less, because that is something that is written on their heart.

If they can shoot you in the head, they can run you down in a car, stab you in the neck, drown you, beat you death, set you on fire, drop a big ass rock on your head. They’re capable of murdering another human being for personal gain.

Accidents like a toddler finding a gun and shooting itself or someone is Tragic and completely avoidable. I consider that an “accident from an unsecured weapon”.

A human being attacking another human being and killing them is murder. Because they did it with a stolen Honda doesn’t mean the owner of the Honda is responsible for leaving their keys out.

A gunstore I worked at had 90 guns stolen along with dozens of other gunstores in GA.....you blame all Of us for Chicago and NYs dead bodies?

If you are going to place blame on a inanimate object, then you can’t stop with just the weapon. Why was the car not locked up and keys hidden? Blame should be placed on the individual.

You do realize stating something as a fact doesn't make it so, correct?
I've had guns all my life and my son and wife has had access to them all their lives. Since no one has ever died, MY guns are apparently incapable of killing anyone. That is the 'logic' you are using.
Everything in bold above is nothing more than wishful thinking. I get it and I'm sorry for your loss. But you have lost any objectivity you may have had prior.
