Brand new Colt 6720's under $1k. There's no way I'd pay over $500 for that. The AR boat is barely staying afloat right now.

Even on gb yoy can find a colt. Not that I would buy one there, but they aren't mythical. Check out the cost to buy a complete lower and an upper from brave company.

You can hardly build an AR for less than $500, even with prices the way they are now. If that gun was listed on the ODT for $500 it would be gone in less than an hour, I guarantee it. It's worth at least $600, probably closer to $700.

Maybe, but I sure wouldn't be the one buying it. Not for $700.

You can easily build a decent AR for under $500 if you don't need a monolithic rail. Smith AR's don't hold much cachet with me, so I'm not inclined to pay a premium for a used one.

Kinda my point, Prices are all over the map.
And nobody really knows but the manufacturers.

There's a glut of AR's out there right now. Just wait until the DOW takes a dump, and the tax bill is due in April. We'll be swimming in AR's.

At the end of the day all that matters is if you are happy with it, and cool with what you paid. If so, do it. You'll make more money. It's hardly worth the hand wringing to potentially save a few bucks. Get the gun and enjoy it if you like it.

Go get "what's his names" out of pawn and score a nice deal. You know, the AR that ODT members pieced together cause the dude was singing a Mother Teresa sob song.
