96 Jeep XJ clutch issue? Help!

is the pilot/throw out bearing making any noise?

if it is when you push in clutch it continues its the throw out
if it makes no difference then its the pilot

i had a hardbody with an ate up pilot shaft
vibrated pretty bad on the hwy
it was chewed up bad but still shifted good

I'm going to try the master cylinder since I've already replaced the slave, and put some Redline in it. Shortly after I plan on a clutch rebuild. Hopefully this gets it for a while. I was test driving it more just an hour ago, and a couple times the clutch wanted to catch near the floor, and once it built back up it was pretty stiff, but still had a lot of play at the top.

to work on

Lol, yeah, so far it's been fairly easy. I know I'm going to have to work on the engine compartment getting too hot. A buddy of mine has trouble with his fuel rail getting to hot and fouling injectors...

you could try the el cheapo hood tilt brought to you by broke ***
civic owners...
