9mm AR porn

Avoid all the spacers, different buffers and broken bolt catches with the correct parts.

JP bolt, SCS and a carbine buffer tube is the answer. Functions flawlessly and eats everything you feed it with out broken bolt catches.

Expensive up front but in the long run saves coin and headache.

Can't say that this works for for every receiver on the market but does with the QC10 Colt pattern.

This has been what's keeping me from building a 9mm AR...so I'm glad you posted this!

But I don't know what SCS is?

I have little next to big. It's just a PSA kit build, but so far so good. Round count is pretty limited right now just because I haven't really been shooting a whole lot. Either way, I am a big fan of iron sights and the majority of my rifles are set up that way. I figure there is less stuff to break and go wrong when keeping things simple. I am a simple man with simple preferences.

Mine is a PSA as well and for over a year it rode DD iron sights. I think it’s a great platform/Caliber for some irons.

I can definitely see how a 4" AR-9 with a KAK blade and red dot could be a boatload of fun though. I want one... but I have other priorities that stand in the way :embarassed:

I'm in the process of building one as well. What's the best barrel length when running a suppressor? I'm liking the look of the 7in but will gladly take any info I can get

Not a big difference between a 7" and a 4" but there is. Shooting 147gr you will gain a little less then 100fps with the 7" over the 4"

Here is a little chart that gives you an idea about the velocities vs length.
