A Cardinal Honeyeater in our garden..........

Had one of these gorgeous birds in our garden this morning. Tiny, only the size of your thumb but the most vibrant red you have ever seen. It was feeding on our Red Devil Callistamon, a bottle brush. And what do you know I found out you have them on a stamp in in the US........

They sure are pretty.
I'm guessing that after you breast them, coat them flour/salt/peeper, and fry them, that they taste pretty good, too.
