A Date that will Live in Infamy

On this 77th anniversary of Pearl Harbor, lets remember the brave men and women that fought and died on this date and the years after.

This marks the first year that no survivors of the Pearl Harbor attack will be attending. The handful of Arizona survivors -- Lou Conter, Don Stratton, Ken Potts, Lonnie Cook and Lauren Bruner -- are all in their 90s and now find travel to be difficult.

I've had the pleasure of visiting the memorial twice. It was the highlight of my trips to Hawaii.

I was there on the 60th anniversary and to shake hands and talk to survivors was truly a special occasion in my life.

We must remember that dreadful day and the many sacrifices that followed.
One of the most prized caps in my collection. I wear it once a year then put it away for safekeeping .

America's finest generation in my humble opinion. I had several relatives in that terrible war, but they've all passed. Remember the heroes (all of our military).

My father joined the Marine Corps in the days after we were attacked, he was only 15, my grandmother told the enlisting people he was 16.
